ラフティング用ギア

ペナンでの滞在中、一日だけExcursion day programがあり、今年はラフティングに挑戦予定。場所は、事前の案内書に書かれていた地名（Kampar川、Gopeng、Ipoh）を見る限り、マレー半島。

Located some 20km south of Ipoh, the town of Gopeng has long since seen its boom from mining. Nowadays, Gopeng attracts adventure enthusiasts for the popular eco-tourism and recreational spots along the Kampar River.

White water rafting along the Kampar River, running just outside the mining town of Gopeng, is not for the faint-hearted. With thrills and spills along the 14 rapids graded between Class I to III for difficulty, the river poses a challenge to even the experienced. It is not all heart-stopping action however as the river also takes the bold adventurers past lush rainforest and abandoned tin mining plains as it meanders its way to the sea.

Visitors can also enjoy the view of the countryside with its village houses and fruit orchards as they are driven to the river.

Notes to participants
The difficulty level for this tour is extreme and participants will need to be able to swim in their clothes and handle rapids classed at 2.5. It is not advisable for the weak hearted. Participants must also wear T-shirts and shorts or tights with covered shoes or sports sandals, which have good grip, and bring along towels, extra shoes and clothes for change.

Take note that no sandals, flips flops, crocs or jeans are allowed. Participants will get completely wet during the activity. If their shoes do not adequately protect their feet, they may be required to rent rubber shoes from the operator.

折しも夏のレジャーシーズンのため、ラフティング用のギアを調達。
といっても、ラッシュガードは以前購入したもので間に合うかもしれない。
ということで、破れがないか確認。

あとは、マリンシューズ。
防水タイプのデジタルカメラも必要かも？　景色を楽しめると書いてあるので購入を検討しよう。
