フラットメートからの電子メール

かつて同じ寮で生活していたフラットメートに対して新しい役職に就くことになるとメールしたら、暖かい返信をもらった。卒業以来１５年程会っていないが、友情は色褪せず、時空を超えて繋がっていることを実感。

I am sure you will make a very good group leader in your firm. Do not doubt your capabilities. I have noticed with myself that when the challenge is bigger, my performance becomes stronger.

I often think of you as I regularly watch on the internet the news about the Fukushima power plant. It appears that the governments are hiding the truth about how much radiation is being released and what are the long term consequences. From what I see from alternative sources the power plant is continuing to emit great radiation and it is affecting a very large area. I want you to know that if things become worse and at some point you decide that it is too dangerous for you to stay in Japan, please know that you are always welcome here in Bulgaria!
