身の振り方を再考する必要にも迫られ、純粋に気分転換として飛ばし読み。

スチュワート,スタンリー
1944年、スコットランドに生まれる。ブリティッシュ・エアウェイズ(英国航空)で副操縦士、機長を30年以上つとめ、ボーイング747型機の機長を最後に1999年5月、定年退職する。飛行経歴のほとんどを大型ジェット機のパイロットとして過ごした。その後、エアフレート・エクスプレスという貨物専用のエアラインで、ふたたび機長として飛行しているほか、インターネット・カフェも経営。著書には『墜落か生還か―緊急事態発生』(講談社)がある

小西 進
1937年大阪に生まれる。大阪府立大学農学部を卒業し、’62年、パイロット要員として全日本空輸に入社。フォッカーF27、ヴィッカース・ヴァイカウントやボーイング737などの副操縦士を経て、’72年YS-11の機長になる。さらにB737、767と、25年間の機長歴をもつ。B747-400などの新型機の仕様検討などにも参画する。’97年の全日空退職から2000年末まで、同社の乗員室カウンセラーやB767のシミュレータ教官として多くのパイロットたちを教育・指導する(本データはこの書籍が刊行された当時に掲載されていたものです)
